VELVET REVOLVER: GODS OF METAL Concert Footage Available

Fan-filmed video footage of VELVET REVOLVER's June 2, 2007 performance at this year's Gods of Metal festival, which is taking take place in two separate installments at Idroscalo in Milan, Italy, has been posted at the Italian news blog Musica Metal. Included are clips of VELVET REVOLVER playing the GUNS N' ROSES classics "Mr. Brownstone" and "It's So Easy".

As previously reported, professionally filmed footage of VELVET REVOLVER's performance at the Rock am Ring festival on Sunday, June 3 in Nürburgring, Germany has been posted at YouTube. The group's setlist was as follows:

The German branch of Sony BMG has uploaded audio samples of three of the tracks that are featured on VELVET REVOLVER's European EP, "Melody and the Tyranny", which was released Friday (June 1). The EP contains two tracks from the band's new CD, "Libertad", as well as TALKING HEADS cover "Psycho Killer" (which was recorded during the "Libertad" sessions) and a video documentary about the making of "Libertad".

"Libertad" will be released on July 3 in two formats: a CD version, which will also include the documentary, and a CD/DVD version, which will feature a bonus DVD with a 30-minute documentary about the 2007 South American tour.
